Hide-A-Way Hills Lifts Cooking Fire Ban

UPDATED 4-21-1010:

THE HAH FIRE BAN HAS BEEN LIFTED AND THE CLUB OFFICE IS AGAIN ISSUING COOKING FIRE PERMITS.

From Hide-A-Way Hills Club Office:

DUE TO THE STATE WIDE BURNING BAN, WE WILL NOT ISSUE COOKING FIRE PERMITS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

Are you also curious to why this latest ban on cooking fires in Hide-A-Way Hills?

1-The "state-wide burning ban" is not a NEW ban and has been in effect for years. During certain spring and summer months, "open burning" is and has been banned without a permit. Open burning is defined as "burning trash and debris".

2-Hide-A-Way Hills Deed Restrictions address the issue of fires:

"Fires must be contained, enclosed and carefully supervised."

It's my purpose to always keep you informed of happenings in Hide-A-Way Hills, but this latest announcement by the HAH Office appears to be without any merit, and steps into an area void of authority to control.
