It's illegal to bring firewood to Hide-A-Way Hills?
Not exactly!While Hide-A-Way Hills Club has no rules about where you get your firewood, many Ohio counties to the north of our community are under an Ohio quarantine from moving firewood out of their counties. This includes sections of Franklin County and all of Delaware and Marion Counties. Violators could face up to a $4,000 fine. Ohio Quarantine Map

The quarantine is an effort to control The Ohio Emerald Ash Borer which can destroy a living healthy tree in 3-5 years. Since 1 out of 10 trees in Ohio is an ash tree, The Ohio Department of Agriculture is counting on public service announcements to help save Ohio's already fragile forest.
